I'm a Brisbane-based marketer, disability advocate, knitter, and proud cat mum. I started Lauren Mienert Marketing to help small business owners take the stress and confusion out of marketing — so they can get back to doing what they love.
My story
How Lauren Mienert
Marketing came to be.
I'm a disabled creative in my 30s who graduated from Marketing at Queensland University of Technology in 2023, alongside a prior degree in Creative & Professional Writing — also from QUT. Like many people, COVID-19 was the catalyst for going back to university. I was unemployed and searching for a career path that would let me be creative and use my writing skills. Marketing felt like the right fit — and it was.
The decision to start LMM came about because a friend and fellow business owner needed help with their marketing strategy and social media, but didn't have the knowledge, time, or budget for ongoing support. At the time, I was stuck in what felt like an endless cycle of applying for the few jobs that suited my needs around hours and location. So I decided to create the role myself.
With my friend willing to be my first client, I took the leap. The journey continues to unfold — and I can't wait to be part of your business's journey too.
2020
Back to university
COVID-19 prompted a return to study — enrolling in Marketing at QUT, building on a prior degree in Creative & Professional Writing.
2023
Graduation
Graduated with a Bachelor of Marketing from Queensland University of Technology.
2024
Lauren Mienert Marketing launches
With a friend as the first client, LMM launched — a one-woman show built to give small business owners access to real marketing expertise, without the overhead of a big agency.
